Sanjay Mishra Best actor and Shruti Ulfat won best actress awards at 3rd International Film Festival of Prayag 

With the intention to promote the culture of independent filmmaking, the two-day International Film Festival of Prayag was held in Delhi which came to an end today. Veteran actor Ranjeet; Gaurav Dwivedi – General Secretary, Film Bandhu, Uttar Pradesh; writer Harvinder Mankkar , actress Gizele Thakral , comedian Banwari Jhol, Actor Nasir Khan and Hasan Haider, Founder & Director of IFFP were present during the festival.

A tribute was made to the late actor Om Puri who was the Chief Guest during the 1st IFFP held in Prayag.

Johnny walkers received the Godfather of Comedy Awards received by His Son Nasir Khan  while Rajpal Yadav was bestowed with the Best Entertainer in Bollywood. Kaali Chaat won the Best Feature Film Award and lead actor Prakash Deshmukh from the same film bagged the Best Actor Award. Shruti Ulfat won Best Actress Award for Amrita & I. Director Karmik Varm won the best Promotional short film on Social Issus award for short film Hawa Badlo.

Enthusiasts have submitted films in categories like Documentary, Short Fiction, Short Animation & Feature Film.The previous two editions of International Film Festival of Prayag were held in Prayag amongst much fanfare. The film festival featured the screening of independent cinema submitted by filmmakers, students and professionals from around the world.

 

Veteran filmmaker Shyam Benegal was awarded with the Lifetime Achievement Award while veteran actor Ranjeet was felicitated with the Living Legend Award. Manoj Tiwari was presented the Shan-e-Prayag 2017 award.

Ab To Patti Khol Do, a special film on Swachh Bharat was showcased on the opening day followed by the screening of the selected films from different filmmakers and genres. The second day of the festival had its own flavour with some lecture sessions, interaction between guest speakers and audience.

Hasan Haider, Founder, IFFP & Owner, Z & Z Media Pvt. Ltd says, “We are super excited to present the third edition of IFFP in Delhi. I am sure movie goers had a gala time during the screenings at the film fest. The city of Delhi proved to be a great host.”

The 3rd International Film Festival of Prayag featured entries from countries like India, UAE Dubai, Sweden, Iran, Canada, Italy, Japan, Spain, China, Pakistan & Tajikistan.
